My Journey to NITIE Mumabi - 'Gods own Campus'

Hello everyone

My name is Ashish Verma and I am born and brought from a very simple but having very rich history the city called Patna.I am sharing you my journey to NITIE Mumbai.

After graduation from NIT Allahabad in 2017, I was working for Tega Industries Ltd. Kolkata for about 26 months.I was working in Head Office in Kolkata. My life was going very smoothly and I was enjoying the City of Joy -Kolkata. But my dream was something else. I was targeting for NITIE for along time back from my college time. And I had appeared for Gate in 2019 and that was my first time encounter with the exam. Got a gate score of 650 (as I recall).

Initially I thought that I might not get a call from NITIE mainly because of not so great score and also because I had applied for only PGDIE course.And I start preparing for next year 2020.

I left my job in mid September,2020 and In 2020, and give my full effort for it. With consistent dedication I used to study for 9-10 hours. And I scored 800 GATE score. In between the preparation I attended three marriage and even was the organiser of my sister marriage. After that I also went to Darjeeling in November for refreshment with my friends.

After getting score, big task is to prepare for GD and PI. For this, I have make list of question and read all relevant current affairs and practice alot for it.Both my extempore and Pi went good.This had boosted my confidence of clearing the admission process and was waiting for the list. I made it to the merit rank in the first list itself.

Had some seniors from my college already studying in NITIE. So I had established contacts with them to understand the process and any pre-preparation which needed to be done. believe me, these kind of activities do help a lot in settling down at any place.

There it starts with interaction with seniors where they guide you how can you shape your next two years in NITIE, helps you in preparing for your summer internship process. Those late night interaction and guidance are still helpful in life.
